- Toru Kamikaze is featured prominently in the pop'n music 9 unlock event Gambler de Z (ギャンブラーZ), where he's played in a 8-bit labyrinth mini game.
- Toru's design is similar to several older shounen anime heroes, notably Koji Kabuto from Mazinger Z and Joe Shimamura from Cyborg 009.
