Ranma is a character first appearing in pop'n music ラピストリア. She is haunted by her past life, hoping to be able to settle her rivalry from then once and for all. She enjoys martial arts and is skilled with swords as well, attending kendo classes. She likes to watch Yuzuru practice, being one of the few visitors that he isn't bothered by. Ranma carries the yellow square lapis and she's unlocked in the PON's Fate Purification Plan (PONの運命浄化計画, PON no Unmei Jouka Keikaku) event by getting the Fate Purication after the four other powers are gathered.

Design

Ranma has bright cyan eyes and bleached blonde hair tied into two pigtails. She wears a wide brimmed black hat, fingerless gloves, a white scarf, and a black coat over the standard blue and gray Lapistoria uniform with gray tattered tights and white shoes.

pop'n music ラピストリア

前世から追っかけてきました、輪廻転生、快刀の乱麻ちゃんです！ 先にPONさんのアルバム「Power Of Nature」に楽曲の収録が決まっていましたので、ブックレットのイラストを描きつつキャラデザインするというおもしろいスタートでした。 「運命浄化計画」でも大トリでしたので、PONmamiタッグに負けないぞ～！と気合で頑張りました！！ PONさんがかわいい女子を連れて会社に来ていたと別の部署の方から情報が入りポップンチーム界隈が一瞬ざわっとしましたが、収録に来たmamiさんだったそうで。 mamiさんのボーカルはほのかに香るかわいらしさが大変魅力的ですね、今回もカッコイイ中にちらっと感じられてなかなか…いいです！ つばの大きい帽子から流れる細いツインテールと不釣合いな日本刀が特徴の乱麻ちゃん、 帽子がぼろぼろだったりタイツが破けていたり、多分細かいことをあまり気にしないタイプのようです。 どうしても日本刀を持たせたくて熱くPONさんにアピールしてめでたく採用となりました。 その後巷でもそんなブームのようですので、乱麻ちゃんも波に乗っていきたいですね！ 乱麻ちゃんの宿敵とされる第十八天魔王ナーガとは前世でいろいろあったようで 果たせなかったくすぶる想いを抱え、宿敵を追いかけるように現代ラピストリアへと転生しまして、 そんなこんなで現代では剣道ガールとして学園に通っていますが最近は古武術全般に興味があるようです。 よし！アニメできたぞ～と一安心したのもつかの間、 スタッフから日本刀について細かい指摘をうけまして、なんでこんなに刀だけチェックが厳しいんだ～！と震えつつ直していたら、ポップンチームはかつてせんごくの世を駆け抜けていたんだったのを思い出しました。 桃とか流したらもっと厳しいチェックがあったかもしれません。 そんなこんなで思い出深い乱麻ちゃん、チャンバラシーンに気合いをれてますがいかがでしたでしょうか。 キャラクターの名前は決めるのにいつも本当に悩むので、 「曲名にキャラの名前入ってる！ピッタリだしやったね～」と大喜びだったあの頃。。。 四文字熟語でしたか、、、勉強になるな～ポップン！ ＜ちっひ＞
