Pastel-kun is a character first appearing in REFLEC BEAT, making his pop'n music debut in pop'n music うさぎと猫と少年の夢. Pastel-kun serves as the mascot of the REFLEC BEAT series, appearing throughout the game and on several song jackets. He's also made appearances in beatmania IIDX, where he's revealed to be a watchmaker.[4]

Pastel-kun is a small bluish-gray mouse with large ears, black eyes, and a pink nose. He wears a green striped shirt with blue pants and yellow shoes.

パステルくんはでしゃばりで、おっちょこちょいで、ちょっとどんくさいねずみみたいな子です。きっと風船を体につけてぷかぷかしたらいい感じのどんくささがでるだろうなぁとニヤニヤしながら描きました! プレーしながらチラッチラッとどんくさパステルくんをご覧いただければ幸いです^^

  • Pastel-kun made several cameo appearances within the series before appearing as a playable character: with Sanae-chan in her artwork for Twinkle Wonderland, in Hiumi's animations, and in the Q-pro, Mimi, Nyami & Pastel-kun no Minna de Uchuu Sensou!! (クプロ・ミミニャミ・パステルくんのみんなで宇宙戦争!!)) event in pop'n music Sunny Park.
    • The patch on Hiumi's dress also has his face on it, and he's also listed as her favorite thing.
  • Pastel-kun shares his birthday with C-noid, Deborah, and Don Mommy.
