NAVI is a character first appearing in pop'n music うさぎと猫と少年の夢. He serves as the navigator and announcer for the game, and is voiced by Ayumu Murase. After a set of songs, the player's closeness with NAVI will raise and he'll gain or lose certain attributes. There are five different attributes NAVI can obtain which can be raised or lowered by certain songs. The five attributes are Hot, Cute, Cool, Noble, and Dark. When any attribute is maxed out, NAVI's appearance and voice will change. Five of his forms are based on the default attributes, while six of them are from combining attributes.[3] Including his default Mini appearance, NAVI has 12 potential transformations.
Design[edit | edit source]
NAVI is a tiny boy with large blue eyes and light brown messy hair covered by a helmet with a propeller. He wears a white, black, and red jacket with a large collar, long sleeves, and a gold band at the bottom. With it he wears white boots and black pants.

| とうとうナビくんにも担当曲ができました～！やった～！
うさ猫テーマソングでミミニャミちゃんが担当した「夢を絆ぐ亜麻色」が切ない感じだったので、ナビくん曲も切ないのかなと思っていたらなんととっても可愛らしい曲！ おもちゃの行進のような、でも元気いっぱいなだけではなくて、セピアとまではいかないような、少し夢がかった色のイメージがあります。 ナビくんはナビ旅で絵日記を沢山描いていて、そこ出てくるナビくんがもちもちでかわいくて大好きなのですが この曲のイメージにぴったりだな～と思ってアニメのデザインもすこしもちナビくん寄りにしています。 絵日記の一文で「ミミニャミも飛べたらいいのに」みたいなことを書いていたので、ミミニャミちびロボを一緒に飛ばしてあげました。 飛びながら行進するニュートラルアニメがナビくんらしさいっぱいにかわいらしく出来たなとお気に入りです。 今さらですがこのアニメを描くまでちびナビくんの背面デザインが決まっていなくてあわてて決めました。 勝ちアニメでは新しい成長パターンも入れてあげたかったのですが、人数が多すぎて断念。 、、、ぜひ育てて、どんな感じになっちゃうのか見てあげてくださいね。 ちびナビ、大ナビくんたちまとめてどうぞよろしくお願いします！ ＜ちっひ＞

- NAVI's name is a reference to his role as the navigator for pop'n music うさぎと猫と少年の夢.
- Before his appearance as a playable character, NAVI was almost exclusively referred to as "NAVI-kun".
- NAVI has two separate closeness meters, the standard one for playable characters and another for his navigator role.
- So far, NAVI has been the announcer in all of the games following pop'n music うさぎと猫と少年の夢.
- A robot resembling NAVI can be seen traveling with and being worked on by Estel in her animations, hinting that she might be his creator.
